In this "Just for Fun" class, you'll learn how to use alcohol inks in a variety of different ways. Make great backgrounds for photos, create your own paper, make decorative tiles, even incorporate it into your glass projects. You will walk away with several examples of this beautiful art and will have the knowledge to continue creating your own artwork at home. Melissa has spent many hours testing, learning, testing, and learning, so she can point you in the right direction on your Ink journey. She shares the tricks, and the No No's to help you be successful without spending a huge amount of money! We will have frames and display items for purchase if you wish to show off your work!
WAY BEYOND THE basINKS
In this class, you will build upon the techniques learned in our "Inking Around - Fun with Alcohol Inks" class. Melissa will show you several ways to create unique backgrounds using common household items. She will also show ways to use resists with the inks and how to add finishing details to your pieces. You will then create three tiles using any of the new techniques learned. This class is packed full of information and you will leave with the knowledge to recreate the process at home. We will have frames available for purchase to display your work!
This class is an intermediate class. You must have previously taken our "Inking Around - Fun with Alcohol Inks" class.
SEASONS OF INK

In this class you will learn new ways to create backgrounds and then how to create silhouettes on top of that. The possibilities are endless! Since we're getting ready for Fall, we'll have several Halloween and Fall images for you to choose from. You can bring your own 3.75" square image, if you'd like, just remember to keep it simple to start with. You will make three tiles, and all materials are included. Frames will be available for purchase. Stop by to check out our other examples!

You may use charms, photos, scrap dichroic glass, paper, and metal findings to create your personalized artwork. We have all the materials you need, but if you have a special charm, bring it and we will see if we can incorporate it in your artwork! Our photo can’t do these charming pendants justice so stop in and check them out.
Arm Knitting with Maggie
Just for fun!
Come enjoy a relaxing and fun day of arm knitting! Learn to make an infinity scarf using yarn and your arms! No needles! Because you will want to select your own color schemes, we ask you to pre-purchase 2 skeins of yarn at least 80 yards long each, and a thickness of #5 (bulky) or # 6 (super bulky). Available at any yarn shop, Michaels, Joannes, Hobby lobby, etc. This will keep you warm. And bonus: because you may need something shiny to wear with your creation, after we get you "untied" you may choose from a selection of dichroic glass to create 3 coordinating dichroic cabochons. Glass and Firing provided.
